The development of dewabit 2.0 is finished and we will release the update 2.0.
Maintenance work
Next Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 14:00 UTC the dewabit servers will be down for a few hours. During this time our server software will be updated and the data transfer will be executed. During the maintenance work dewabit should not be used.
Please create a backup of your data
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the work and thank you in advance for your understanding.
Changes
The most significant changes are described below.
Windows Client
The update 2.0 is mandatory and must be installed to continue using dewabit.
Backups
Backups of version 5 or smaller are only supported for a limited time. We will try to delay this as long as possible (at least 6 months) and would ask you to import the old backup into version 2 and then create a new one.
Items
Unsold ans sold items are only stored on our server for half a year. Within dewabit, the items which are to be deleted shortly are marked in color. If you want to keep them, you can copy the items into the drafts at any time and save them in a backup. The drafts are ebay independent and from version 2 on you can download all online pictures locally in one go, so that they are archived correctly.
Orders
When transferring to version 2, all current orders are deleted and those of the last 30 days are loaded. This is necessary because we will change to the new order number format from ebay.
Orders will be stored on our server for half a year. We are still working on an archiving function here, similar to the item drafts.
Messages
Messages are stored on our server for half a year.
Item templates
There is now a limit of 20 item templates per user. The templates currently created will not be deleted on transfer.
